The exact location of where Aidan was shot and died is on the A5 Monaghan road on the on the outskirts of Aughnacloy, between Coronation Park and Aghaloo GFC grounds.
We are indebted to Aidan’s close friends Mickey and Philomena Muldoon who look after Aidan’s memorial so well including flying the flags of many county and club teams on the days of their matches. It is certainly something that catches the attention of anyone driving past and helps raise awareness of Aidan’s story, even after all these years.
We are also humbled by the number of people who have stopped off throughout the years and paid their respects including the Tyrone GAA senior team who’s first stop with Sam Maguire was Aidan’s memorial.
